Objective: Launch the new product of remote-monitoring, backup cellular power systems into the telecommunications industry.
Problem: Cell sites, unmanned and often located in remote areas, are notorious for going down in electrical storms and conditions of continuous heat. Backup DC power systems sometimes are charged and ready to go—and sometimes not. Consequently, cell site technicians have no way of knowing if the backup system is ready to go online in the event of outages to the main power supply.
