Objective: In addition to retail advertising analysis, KD1 provides Web site analysis for e-commerce transactions. Of the gazillions of visitors to a company's site, which visitors come back? Why? To buy what? Who are they? What are their demographics? What types of promotions and offers lure them?

Problem: Plenty of Web personalization/analysis competitors were on the scene in January 2000 (not so many now, eh?). Tough to stand out in a crowd.

Solution: Spread ads in which zebras are used as metaphors for Web visitors. The ads got somebody's attention, as KD1 was bought soon after for some serious money. (See "Texas Heat" ad.)
