Title:
"Big Belly"
Objective: Create corporate identity for Belli Cosmetics.
Problem: A new company entering the extremely competitive cosmetics industry, dominated by giants such as Clinique and Este Lauder. Belli's product is directed toward a relatively un-mined category: cosmetics for pregnant women.
Solution: Belli derives from the word "beautiful" in Italian. The phonetic pronunciation "belly" is playful and memorable. Our task was to come up with a visual treatment that played on the Italian flair, elegance, and playfulness. And to inspire positive connotations associated with pregnancy. The sans serif font is light and friendly. The icon embraces and depicts the target audience directly. We think the solution is, well, bellissimo!
