Objective: Applied Systems was introducing a new insurance agency management software product called Epic. The objective was to increase brand and new product awareness, and to provide support for other lead generation campaigns to follow.

Challenge: Current customers were perfectly happy with their existing Applied software; prospects were using competitors' products.

Solution: For industry publications such as Rough Notes and Agent & Broker, Hodgson/Meyers developed a series of ads depicting "Epic Acts." An escalator up Mount Everest, a bridge across the Grand Canyon, a paved road across the wide-open prairie dramatically conveyed how business just got easier.

Results: In an industry plagued by "me too" companies and products, the Epic Acts served to differentiate Applied Systems from its competition, providing Applied a unique positioning that was well-received by its audience. The ads also provided increased brand awareness and support for a variety of outreach campaigns in the market at the same time.
