Northland Services operates a fleet of modern barges, shipping cargo of all shapes and sizes to Alaska and Hawaii. In a typical year Northland will schedule 150 or so sailings to the two states from Seattle, transporting more than 750,000 tons of cargo. Though well known, Northland was feeling pressure from competing companies. Hodgson/Meyers was been engaged to refresh the brand and bring a differentiating personality to the company.
